Rykers' Ridge Elementary School

Rykers’ Ridge Elementary School is nestled in the rolling hills in the
eastern portion of our county and is home to students living in the
largest part of our district.  A small school with a big personality, this
'Leader in Me'  school always has something positive to share
with our community!

Lydia Middleton Elementary School

Lower Seminary School was built in 1843 and was used for rentals to private or select teachers for some time until 1852 when it became the first "graded" school in Madison. The school was torn down in 1922-23 to make room for the Lydia Middleton School. Two wings were added in 1871, and recent renovations make Lydia Middleton a true Main Street gem in the heart of historic downtown Madison!

Anderson Elementary School

Anderson Elementary School was renovated and reopened for the 2019-2020 school year.  The new building will be expanded with ten new classrooms, an expanded cafeteria area with a new food preparation kitchen, and a larger gymnasium with bleacher seating. This project integrates this space internally and externally so you don’t think of it as a building that has an old and new portion.
DJI 0804Deputy Elementary School
Deputy Elementary School, located in Deputy, IN was built in 1954. It is the furthest outlying building within the district serving the westernmost area of our county. Additions to the building came in 1986 to include the office area and in 1996, the Media Center.  Deputy Elementary is a hub for community events and hosts community basketball, baseball, and softball leagues.
DJI 0727Madison Junior High School
MJHS was constructed in 1971 and has remained largely the same since the time of its construction.  MJHS houses our aquatics center which is used for middle school PE instruction, home to Madison varsity and jr. high swim teams, H2O Swim Club, and is open to our community for recreational use several times a week.  MJHS is also home to our varsity and middle school soccer complex, tennis courts, and freshman baseball field facilities.
