Project Lead The Way (PLTW) LaunchPLTW Launch is designed for students in kindergarten through 5th grade and compliments middle and high school course offerings. "Students use structured approaches, like the engineering design process, and employ critical thinking. They apply Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) knowledge, skills, and habits of mind, learning that it is OK to take risks and make mistakes. As teachers and students learn and discover together, education becomes far more engaging" (PLTW Launch website). MCS has goals to take this program district-wide in all elementary classrooms.
