One of the goals of Madison Consolidated Schools Board of Trustees, administration, faculty, and staff is to provide clear, concise, accurate information to our public at all times.  

Madison Consolidated Schools is very grateful to have a very large number of students, parents, industry, small business, and community leaders who believe in and support the vision and strategic framework Madison Consolidated Schools is implementing within our district for the students of Jefferson County.

We continue to invite questions and encourage dialog between our community and our board, administrators, faculty, and staff.  Again, we want to ensure our communication is as effective as possible, in full context, in order to answer questions and clarify all information.  We encourage all members of our community to attend school board meetings in order to stay informed and shape an opinion based on first hand information.  In the event you cannot attend meetings, they can be viewed, in entirety, online at,, on Channel 15, and they are accessible via a link from the MCS_Indiana Facebook page.

While we cannot control what is recorded and published by the general public, we feel a responsibility to provide video documentation to our community which we know to be factual and unedited.  As a point of clarification, a portion of  language from a section of the Madison Consolidated Schools Board Policy addressing recorded media applies only to the Board of Trustees, school employees, and any entity who is under contract for goods and/or services with Madison Consolidated Schools.  The policy does not apply to the general public.  The intent of the policy and the manner in which the Board applied the policy is in accordance with Title 5, Article 14, Chapter 1.5 of Indiana Code and meets the requirement of the Indiana Open Door Law.  In order to further clarify the Board’s intent, revision of the language within Board Policy 0167.3 will be necessary and we appreciate the opportunity to revisit this item.

We encourage our community to attend meetings, ask questions, and engage in productive, constructive dialog.  We will continue to actively seek feedback and implement our vision and strategic framework which will best address the needs of Jefferson County students in order to provide a foundation for success.
