The provision of special education requires planned and purposeful coordination of many disciplines. To that end, our special education staff includes:
  • Mild and intense intervention teachers
  • Instructional support personnel
  • Hearing and vision specialists
  • Speech, occupational and physical therapists
  • IEP specialist
  • School psychologist
  • Educational diagnostician
  • Nurses
  • Special education clerks
Madison Consolidated Schools shall provide for the location, identification, and evaluation of all students at least three (3) years of age but less than twenty-two (22) years of age, who are in need of special education and related services, regardless of the severity of their disabilities.

Madison Consolidated Schools shall provide a free and appropriate public education ("FAPE") to all students who are identified as a student with a disability in any of the following eligibility categories:
  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Blind/low vision
  • Cognitive disability
  • Deaf/blind
  • Deaf/hard of hearing
  • Developmental delay
  • Emotional disability
  • Language impairment
  • Multiple disabilities
  • Orthopedic impairment
  • Other health impairment
  • Specific learning disability
  • Speech impairment
  • Traumatic brain injury
