Exploratory Studies

The Exploratory Studies pathway at Madison Consolidated High School offers a broader approach to exploring the curriculum.  Though wide-ranging, the goal is to provide a foundation of knowledge in business, information technology, hospitality, fine arts, education, early childhood development, and agriculture. This provides students who desire to start and run their own business, a career using their creative talents and skills, or explore a field of interest to further define a career path a safe space to navigate the landscape.

Information Technology

Information Technology Support students are on the frontline of supporting the technology needs of organizations and end-users.  Students will learn the skills needed to support a wide range of customers, including how to diagnose computer-related issues and walking customers through resolving those issues.  Students will tear down and rebuild computers and work with customer support software.  This program is loaded with hands-on labs and students will have opportunities to earn industry-recognized certifications.

At the completion of the program students earn:

  • Two Certifications (CompTIA A+ Certification, CompTIA Network + Certification)
  • Ivy Tech Technical Certificate (TC) in Information Technology Support
  • Total of 30 college credit hours
